Jack Hester is a stand-up comedian and community pharmacist who headlines Comedy Cabin’s Saturday Specials and curates our Irish Night. Raised in a politics-obsessed household — his father served in local politics before representing their area in Dáil Éireann from 2002–2011 — Jack initially wanted to be Taoiseach but decided there were enough jokers in politics and turned to comedy instead. He loves the idea of being a modern-day seanchai, traveling the world to lift people’s spirits with stories and jokes, and cites Tommy Tiernan as a key influence — seeing someone from a similar background convinced him he could do it too.
